Ringside Medicine Network (RMN)

The Ringside Medicine Network (RMN) is an educational organization dedicated to supporting safe, responsible, and professionally guided exposure to combat sports medicine. By creating an RMN account or participating in RMN‑affiliated activities, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Educational Purpose

RMN participation is educational and observational. RMN does not certify, credential, employ, or authorize any member to practice medicine. As stated in RMN participation agreements, “RMN is an independent educational organization” and participation “is intended to enhance my knowledge and skill set within my existing professional scope of practice.”

RMN provides learning resources, mentorship opportunities, and community discussion.
Participation does not guarantee access to events, clinical roles, or future opportunities.
RMN does not assign, supervise, or direct medical care at any event.

2. Scope of Practice & Supervision

All RMN‑affiliated educational exposure must remain within your professional licensure, training level, and local regulatory requirements.

Non‑Physician Professionals

Participation does not grant authority to act as a Ringside Physician.
Any clinical involvement must be directly supervised by a licensed Ringside Physician.
You must adhere to the scope defined by your licensing board and jurisdiction.

Resident & Non‑Certified Physicians

You may engage in supervised clinical activities appropriate to your training level.
The attending Ringside Physician retains exclusive authority over all medical decisions, including fighter clearance and bout stoppages.
Autonomy is determined solely by the supervising physician and applicable regulations.

Supervising Physicians

Supervisors retain full responsibility for medical decision‑making and participant involvement.
Supervisors may authorize observational or supervised educational participation at their discretion.
RMN does not provide malpractice insurance for supervisors or participants.

3. Medical Disclaimer

RMN does not provide medical advice, medical care, or a doctor–patient relationship.

RMN content is for education only and should not be used as a substitute for professional medical evaluation.
Always consult a qualified physician for diagnosis or treatment.
In emergencies, contact local emergency services immediately.
RMN is not responsible for clinical decisions made by supervising physicians or participants.

4. Privacy & Data Use

RMN collects limited account and interaction data to operate member features.

Data is used for login, notifications, and community functionality.
RMN does not sell personal data to third parties.

5. Conduct & Professional Expectations

RMN members agree to uphold professionalism, respect, and athlete‑centered focus.

Follow instructions from supervising physicians and event officials.
Maintain professionalism and avoid distractions (including mobile phone use) during medical or ringside activities.
No harassment, hate speech, or sharing of identifying patient information.
RMN may limit or revoke access for violations of conduct standards.

6. Assumption of Risk

Combat sports environments involve inherent physical and emotional risks. Participation in RMN‑affiliated educational activities is voluntary.

You assume all risks associated with observing or participating in event‑based educational exposure.
RMN does not provide malpractice, health, or disability insurance.

7. Liability & Hold Harmless

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to release and hold harmless:

Ringside Medicine Network
Its directors, officers, volunteers, coordinators, and members

from claims related to your participation, except where prohibited by law.

8. Use of Educational Materials

RMN content is for personal learning and professional development.

Redistribution or reuse of RMN materials requires prior permission.
Educational content does not grant independent clinical authority or RMN certification.

By creating an RMN account, participating in RMN activities, or checking the acknowledgement box, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to this Global Acknowledgement Policy. You affirm that your participation will remain consistent with your professional scope of practice, local regulatory laws, and the supervisory expectations outlined in RMN agreements.
