The Ringside Medicine Network’s mission is to educate and prepare medical students and health professionals to become qualified ringside physicians and aid the ringside teams for USA Boxing events and other combat sports through hands-on experience, education, and advocacy.
In addition to training well-informed future ringside physicians, the RMN aims to address the growing need for ringside medical professionals and increase public awareness regarding head injuries and concussions so fighters and the broader community can better understand and protect their health.
The RMN serves as a platform for students to engage with the local and national combat sports communities, participate in educational programming, and advocate for athlete safety. The RMN aims to foster leadership, professional development, and collaboration among students while encouraging research and innovation in combat and contact sports medicine.
The RMN does not credential physicians or replace the Association of Ringside Physicians or other similar organizations. It does not sanction combat sport events or guarantee placement of individuals ringside.
